FinanceMalta is a public-private foundation established in 2007 to promote Malta as a financial services centre and investment destination. It supports international businesses and investors looking to establish operations locally while providing opportunities for its network of over 200 member firms in the financial services sector.

The Brief

FinanceMalta was seeking a brand identity refresh to maintain its relevance and appeal in a rapidly evolving global landscape. Our brief was to develop a modern logo that aligned with current trends, while more accurately reflecting Malta’s positioning as an international financial centre. A key objective of the rebrand was to broaden FinanceMalta’s appeal to a wider, more diverse international audience and to ensure the brand was effectively adaptable across digital platforms and media.

The scope of brand identity development included the design of a new logo, the development of updated brand guidelines, and the rollout of the refreshed identity across a variety of materials such as stationery, and other digital and event-related collateral.

Our Approach

Our team set out to give FinanceMalta a fresh new look, one that stays true to its roots but feels modern and forward-thinking. The aim was to strike the right balance between corporate and contemporary, reflecting how the brand is evolving in today’s global financial space. 

We created a logo with clean typography and bold iconography inspired by the Maltese cross, using shapes that suggest forward movement and connection. The refreshed brand was designed to be adaptable across platforms and formats, ensuring consistency and clarity whether in digital environments, printed collateral, or large-scale event installations. 

The end result? A refreshed brand that feels confident, current, and ready to connect with audiences both in Malta and around the world.

In addition to the rebranding efforts, IMPACT Marketing has served as FinanceMalta’s design partner for several years, supporting them with the creation of annual reports, the design of exhibition stands for international conferences, and the continuous development of branded collateral.
